Hi everybody, well no doubt there are a few people on here who know the Boerboel breed and no doubt a few who know us at Sandaharr Boerboels personally or have heard of us through the grapevine. We have decided to give the weight pulling a go with this breed.Harry, the hubby part of Sandaharr, used to compete in weight pulls with an older breed and is keen to get back into it.We are looking for a place to train in Scotland, all help and advice gratefully accepted, many thanks.

Re: Intro from Sandaharr Boerboels
im here im here you rang lol
we are still trying to find premises to host our pulls but we do have the cart and the blocks, and at the moment are just doing a little pulling training at home but nothing 2 serious yet
its alot harder to find a venue than i expected ill be honest - we might have somewhere down in Troon/Irvine area but waiting on confirmation from that, and theres also possibly somewhere in East Kilbride as well but these are all ifs and buts and its just really a waiting game until someone confirms whether we can use these places or not
If you find somewhere nearer yourselves give me a shout and we can maybe bang heads together on something

sorry haven't been back on,girls in season, matings to organise and trips to do.How big does the place need to be,would a village hall suit at all?we have plenty of small halls around this area but it is not central that is the only problem. :-(

Re: Intro from Sandaharr Boerboels
hey a village hall would be ideal as long as they didnt mind the carts and all the dogs in etc -if you could speak 2 the committee or whatever then could be a great shout - also would there be somewhere close by perhaps to store the cart and blocks, just so they dont needs dragged across each time?
central isnt a big necessity, i have a few people who are so interested in pulling that they dont mind travellin some, theres a few comin from ayrshire and the rest are mostly glasgow so its not a big deal us having to go a wee drive to get there, be worth it :D
